MGBA-approved coaches must complete a background check, be reviewed and approved by the Academy Director, and connect a Stripe account to accept lesson payments. Coaches set their own rates, specialties, and availability.
Players browse coaches by city and specialty on the lessons page. MGBA prioritizes coach proximity — coaches list the city or park they work from so players can find someone local. Players book directly through the platform.
Yes. Coaches can register as a lessons coach, a league coach, or both. League coaches require a separate background check clearance before the 2027 season begins. Register interest at mindgamebaseball.com/register/coach.
MGBA charges a 5% platform fee on lesson payouts to coaches, and a 3% processing fee is added to the player's total at checkout. These fees support platform operations and keep the service running. Coaches receive approximately 95% of their stated lesson rate.
