Mind Game Baseball Academy (MGBA) is a baseball development academy located at 344 Copeland Cir, North Augusta, GA 29860 — the same city as the Augusta GreenJackets and SRP Park. Founded by Kenny Flermoen, MGBA offers individual lessons with vetted coaches, Saturday development camps, a 2027 community fall league, and a developmental travel team for 12U and 14U players across the CSRA.
MGBA serves players ages 8 through college across the CSRA. The community league and travel team serve 12U and 14U divisions. Individual lessons and Saturday camps are available for players 8–18 and college-age athletes.
MGBA serves players and coaches across both South Carolina and Georgia — including North Augusta, Aiken, Edgefield, Graniteville, Bath, Wagener (SC) and Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, Martinez, Harlem, and Hephzibah (GA). Coaches are matched to players in their own town or the next town over.
MGBA operates with professional baseball standards — written practice plans, vetted coaches, enforced rules, and transparent fees. The 2027 community league is local-only with an all-in fee, no hotel stays, and no gate charges. The MGBA travel team caps tournaments at 10 per year and prioritizes practice over competition.
Kenny Flermoen is the founder and Academy Director of Mind Game Baseball Academy. He has 21+ years of coaching experience from tee-ball to Division I athletes and holds a Master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine.
The 2027 MGBA community baseball league is scheduled for Fall 2027, running September through late October with 10 regular season games plus playoffs. Interest registration is open now and free — no payment or commitment required.
